Community and Our Valued Relationships

The word “community” conveys a sense of togetherness and positivity, which is why communities look out for one another. This type of support can enhance our health and well-being, but the benefits go even further. Connections within our communities, no matter how big or small, can provide the positive energy, outlook, and determination it takes to live life to the fullest. 

This is why giving back is so important to Jeanette and The Power Investment Team. She and her team believe we can all make a difference when we support one another and our community.

Providing individuals with valuable literacy education in our communities...

In May, The Power Investment Team proudly sponsored The Learning Place's 4th Annual Fundraising Gala: "A Night Under the Stars".

The gala's dinner and silent auction was executed perfectly, all in an effort to raise funds for this tremendous organization who strives to provide high quality education, while creating a positive and lasting impact on the lives of learners of all ages.

Our team believes everyone should be given the opportunity to learn, and The Learning Place ensures high quality educational programming is available to our community.
 

The Darling Home for Kids is the only place of its kind in Canada providing a continuum of care in respite, residential and  hospice palliative services to children with complex medical needs and their families. Jeanette has been involved with The Darling Home for Kids for many years. She and her team are proud to support this amazing organization in our community.
 

An evening of gratitude...

For the past 15 years, it has been my absolute pleasure and honor to support our beloved Darling Home for Kids. For me, my husband James and our team, volunteering, no matter whether it’s monetary or lending a helping hand around the home, provides me with a sense of community and pride that we’re making a positive impact to this amazing organization, their staff and the beautiful families they take care of.

Darling Home for Kids’ positive energy and their unwavering commitment to families is a testament to my own values, which is why I’m honored to support them. This award has touched my heart like they do, and I’m very thankful for this wonderful recognition!

Our best investment is our community...

In early November, my team and I spent a productive and enjoyable afternoon at The Darling Home for Kids.

For us, volunteering provides a sense of community and connection with The Darling Home for Kids, their staff, children, and the families they support. By giving just a few hours of our time, this incredible organization is able to continue to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment for the children they care for and most importantly, it helps to decrease the Home’s financial burden, ensuring more funds go directly to their much-needed programs and services. Whether it’s helping to fundraise, garden, tidy up, or provide some companionship to the children, The Darling Home for Kids appreciates everyone’s support.

With the generosity of attendees, this gala allows the Darling Home for Kids to fund much needed services to care for medically complex children while also supporting their families. Our team and lovely guests had a wonderful time supporting this remarkable organization. Earlier this year I visited The Darling Home for Kids with our branch manager, Jennifer Mukherjee. We presented them with a donation for their great work, love and care they provide to children in need throughout our community. Making a difference everyday…

Our team visited the Eden Food for Change food bank recently and were welcomed by some friendly and helpful volunteers. With food insecurity and food bank usage at the highest levels it’s been this year, this Mississauga food bank location is helping to make sure individuals and families in our local community are receiving both hot meals and enough groceries for their monthly visit.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…

On December 3rd, our team joined friends The Rocca Sisters Team to participate in the 2023 Burlington Santa Claus Parade!  Sharing hot coco, treats and festive hats to celebrate this most wonderful time of the year in our vibrant community was truly fa la la la fabulous! 

The Power Investment Team had the honor of sponsoring the 2023 Toronto Humane Society Golf Tournament in June!

Love and attachment for our pets is good for human health and it’s through amazing organizations like this one that it also unites us in the genuine care for our communities.
